Service as an Elangomat– As an Elangomat, you can help guide Ordeal candidates on the path to Brotherhood. Elangomats are absolutely critical to the inductions process, and the Lodge is always in need of more Elangomats. For information, contact the Alex Lee.
Competing on a Dixie Quest Team– At Dixie, our Lodge competes against other Lodges in Section SR-5 for the coveted Golden Arrow. Show your Lodge spirit by volunteering to help crush the competition!
Joining a Committee– If you are interested in serving in a Lodge Office or just helping Lodge activities flow more smoothly, working on a committee is a good place to start; there is a committee for Arrowmen of every different kind of talent.
Serving on Ordeal Staff– In addition to the Elangomats, there are several other people responsible for making an Ordeal work, such as the Ceremonies Team or the kitchen crew; serving on staff is a great way to give service to the Lodge if you are not interested in being an Elangomat.
Attending a National Event– The Order of the Arrow holds many national events, most notably the National Order of the Arrow Conference. National Events provide an opportunity to share service and fellowship with other Arrowmen from across the nation.
Serving on Summer Camp Staff– Although serving on Summer Camp Staff is not strictly limited to members of the Order, Staff members are usually experienced Scouts like those found in the Order, and serving on Summer Camp Staff is one of the best ways in which you can give back to Scouting by helping younger Scouts advance .
