Winter Banquet: Thursday, January 17 (Trinity on the Hill UMC @ 6:00)

Each year, the Bob White Lodge hosts its annual winter banquet to celebrate the outgoing year and welcome in the exciting new term ahead. The evening is full of fun including the Passing of the Bonnet from our outgoing Chief to the incoming Lodge Chief, special guests and speaker, introduction of the incoming Lodge Committee, program highlights for the year, and special recognition to those who have extended great services to the Bob White Lodge and Order of the Arrow.

Lodge Leadership Seminar: Saturday, February 23 (Location TBD)

Beginning in 2019, we will begin a newly designed Lodge Leadership Development Training program. February 23 will be the first of two LLD Training sessions in 2019. This event is directed at Lodge Officers and is open for anyone to attend. The purpose of this program is to help Arrowmen grow their personal leadership skills, not just in the OA, but in our interactions with others, our places of work and in our communities.

The LLD session on February 23 will go from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM with lunch provided at the seminar. Location has not been determined, but will be posted once a decision is made.

Spring Ordeal – Induction Weekend: March 15-17 (Knox Scout Reserv.)

The Spring Ordeal will be hosted at the Knox Scout Reservation (Lincolnton, Georgia) on March 15-17. This event is hosted for the induction of new members into our Order and to seal the membership of current members with their Brotherhood Honor conversion.

All Ordeal Candidates must be elected by the members of their unit and the election must be hosted and certified by the Lodge Chief and unit-specific Chapter Chief. (Any and all elections not following lodge and National OA Committee guidelines will result in an immediate invalidation of election)

Beginning on February 1, 2019, elections are available for Venturing BSA and Sea Scout Crews as well as open to female membership from Venturing, Sea Scout and Scouts BSA female units.

Dixie Fellowship: April 26-28 (Camp Bud Schiele)

The Dixie Fellowship is a section-wide event attended by the 10 neighboring lodges of Section SR-5. The weekend is full of many exciting events as lodges compete in the Quest for the Golden Arrow, ceremony teams competitions, AIA/Dance and Drum performances, ultimate frisbee tournaments, evening shows/concerts, patch trading, great training, and the election of the SR-5 Section Officers (Section Chief, Vice-Chief and Secretary) that will serve from April 2019 to April 2020.

Memorabilia Pre-Orders are due to the Scout Service Center in Augusta no later that January 20, 2019! (All late forms will be returned without order)  Orders may be paid at the Georgia-Carolina Scout Service Center or may be paid at the Lodge’s Winter Banquet. Pre-orders may be paid for with cash, check or card (all orders via card must pay balance of credit card fees).

Camp Day of Service: May 11, August 10, November 9 (Knox Scout Reser.)

The Camp Day of Service is a day of dedicated to improvement projects at our council camp properties. The projects will begin at 9:00 AM and last through the mid-afternoon. Lunch is provided by the lodge! All lodge members who attend the work day will receive a special service patch and will earn credits towards completing the Bob White – Arrowman Service Award.

Dates for Service will be on May 11 and August 10 at the Knox Scout Reservation. On November 9, the Day of Service will be hosted at Camp Daniel Marshall.

Fall Ordeal – Induction Weekend: September 13-15 (Knox Scout Reserv.)

The Fall Ordeal will be hosted at the Knox Scout Reservation (Lincolnton, Georgia) on March 15-17. This weekend will also present the call-out of the 2019 Vigil Honor Class and will have the election of the 2020 lodge officers on Sunday during the General Lodge Meeting.

Lodge Leadership Seminar: October 19-20 (Camp Daniel Marshall)

This two-day event is centered on Leadership Training and Development. This is also the special training seminar offered to newly elected Lodge Officers and Lodge Committee members. The event is open to all Arrowmen to better develop their abilities in Leadership both within Scouting and beyond!

The event will be hosted at Camp Daniel Marshall from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon.

Winter Fellowship: December 13-15 (Camp Daniel Marshall)

The Winter Fellowship weekend is an event of fun and excitement for all Arrowmen to enjoy! It is a weekend where lodge memberships can enjoy fellowship through various games, activities and events from ceremonies, AIA, ultimate frisbee tournaments, quest games and more! An event you don’t want to miss, so mark for calendars for Winter Fellowship!
